BikeBrain iPhone Cycling App Updated!

Our free iPhone cycling app, BikeBrain, has been updated and now allows for in-app upgrades that give you more functions.

BikeBrain, originally known as BikeBrain Lite, is still free but now allows users the option to upgrade in-app to the “Plus” version of the program for only US$1.99. BikeBrain Plus offers the full range of cycling functions like GPS mapping, interval training and calorie counting, found in BikeBrain and also offers the following additional features:

  • Export ride data by email in KML, GPX, or CSV formats for easy uploading to popular online ride sites
  • Publish ride data to Google Maps
  • Share trip routes via Facebook and Twitter
  • Save an infinite number of trips (free version has a 10-trip capacity)
  • Unlimited training duration and distance (free version allows only some training customization)
  • Set unlimited numbers of interval training profiles

BikeBrain, heart rate monitor, ANT+ and your iPhone casings

Hello,

I have downloaded your BikeBrain application for iPhone and also have bought 4 of your iPhone casings (2 with no built-in chargers, and 2 with built-in charger) during the month of April 2012. In total, I have ordered for a total of nearly 1000$ from your website. I separately purchased an ANT+ key (from Digifit) as well as heart rate and speed/cadence sensors (again spent hundreds of dollars hoping that all would be compatible). I now am learning that although you website lead us to believe that your BikeBrain application supports heart rate sensors, it does not yet. Additionnally, you indicate here that you plan your application to work with the ANT+ keys, however, the ANT+ key DOES NOT fit in ANY of your iPhone casings for bicycle. I spent hundreds of dollars and now realize that even though your application supports ANT+ key in the future, it will not fit the casing you sold me?! The only thing I can hope for is that you create an external ANT+ adaptor or a smaller ANT+ adaptor. Please reply to me and help me/us all… because otherwise, I just lost hundreds of dollars buying all kinds of products from your website hoping that they would all work with an ANT+ key. Please make sure that your existing casing will still work in the ANT+ environement. I wouldn’t want to force to return the casings to you and demand a refund?! given that we can upload our ride to facebook, it would be a great feature if we could tag fellow facebook friends that we a riding with. Can that be added???

Heart rate

Hi! Tom,

For heartbeat will be compatible with BikeBrain Pro version.
We are currently working on a Bike Brain Pro Version and the related hardwares of ANT+ sensors will be available once Pro Version ready, but have no definite date when it will be available.
However, when we release BikeBrain Pro, you will be able to use your preferred ANT+ sensors.
Polar heart rate monitor should not be compatible with Bike Brain Pro version.

Heart rate

Bike brain shows heart rate but I have worn my polar heart rate strap and the program did not record it?

Display on Bikebrain

Love tap tap to change display value in Digital. Current time is big missing value, however, … more important than starting time.

Hope the new bike mount will add ANT capability as you add cadence and Heart rate to the Bikebrain Pro.

iPhone 4 Bike Mount

After ruining an iPhone getting caught in the rain on a ride, I purchased a biologic bike mount. I have been caught in hard rains twice now with no problems. Great product.
